GRAND AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED for

19th ANNUAL QUESTAR FESTIVAL

** Hong Kong Institute of CPAs **

TAKES BEST OF SHOW

NEW YORK, NY – June 23, 2010 - The grand winners of the 19th annual QUESTAR Competition for excellence in Corporate Videos were announced today in New York City and represent the highest creative standards in the industry.

           

            The Hong Kong Institute of CPAs, HONG KONG,  has been awarded the BEST OF SHOW for their documentary, “The Money Secrets of Children”.  The documentary is available on the Institute's website, www.hkicpa.org.hk,  for the general public to watch. The project aims to highlight how important it is to start teaching kids about money early and to show how CPAs pass on their money management skills to the younger generation. The judges praised the work for its "excellent energy and pace", "engaging use of children", and its "strong, clear messaging." The 5:47 DVD-ROM earned near perfect scores of 10 (out of 10) in the Preliminary Rounds.

           

            The top 4% percent of entries captured a grand QUESTAR Award.  In their respective categories, the 2010 Grand Award winners were:

            The judges awarded Gold and Silver Awards to the top 20% scoring entries.  The awards were presented to production houses, cor­pora­tions, and associa­tions from around the world.

 

            In its 19th year, the QUESTAR Awards had nearly 100 entries received from 10 countries including Australia, Canada, Denmark, French West Indies, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

           

            Judges represented creative directors, directors of broadcast services, producers, directors, marketing coordinators, production managers, public relations managers, and presidents of production houses, agencies, and corporations.

           

            The QUESTAR Award symbolizes the creative energy that is transformed by the craft, innovation, and skill into the excellence of the video medium.  It is the creativity, originality, and talent of the individuals involved to whom the awards festival is dedi­cated.
