17th ANNUAL QUESTAR FESTIVAL

- AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEONS TAKES BEST OF SHOW -

NEW YORK, NY - June 16, 2006 - The grand winners of the 17 th annual QUESTAR Awards for excellence in corporate CD-ROMs, DVDs, and Videos were announced today. The international festival honors the highest creative standards in the industry.

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Rosemont, IL has been awarded the BEST OF SHOW for their documentary, “Wounded in Action”. The judges praised the moving one-hour film, chronicling the struggles and sacrifices of young doctors who served in WWII. The judges lauded the work as “engaging and enlightening” with “great use of historical footage.”

The Top 5 percent of entries received a grand QUESTAR Award.

The judges awarded Gold, Silver Bronze and Honors Awards to the top 30% scoring entries.   The awards were presented to production houses, corporations, and associations from around the world.

In the seventeenth year, the QUESTAR Awards had over 115 entries received from 10 countries including Australia, Canada, Denmark, French West Indies, German, Hong Kong, Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Judges represented creative directors, directors of broadcast services, producers, directors, marketing coordinators, production managers, public relations managers, and presidents of production houses, agencies, and corporations.

The QUESTAR Award symbolizes the creative energy that is transformed by the craft, innovation, and skill into the excellence of the video medium.   It is the creativity, originality, and talent of the individuals involved to whom the awards festival is dedicated.
